Original Score, Netflix The River Runner (2021) Documentary Feature

Working with director Rush Sturges, Cyrus Reynolds composed an original score using live orchestra, sweeping electronics and a tapestry of sounds native to the Himalayas, where much of the film’s key drama unfolds.

The documentary follows professional kayaker Scott Lindgren as he sets out to become the first man to paddle the four great rivers that flow from Tibet's sacred Mount Kailash. Along the way, he is interrupted by a harrowing medical hurdle and brain tumor. This near death experience forces him to discover a new sense of humility and embrace the help of those around him in order to regain his strength and take on one of the world’s mightiest rivers.
